ADAM BRICUSSE
Sacred
5th May - 11th June 2016

The Cat Street Gallery is proud to exhibit Adam Bricusse’s second solo show in Hong Kong SACRED in our new gallery space.

Having painted many magnified subjects over the years, whether through electron microscopes or macro lenses, Adam’s personal signature symbol and literal 'stamp' has been a Scarab. From working on various subjects from Butterflies to Blood Corpuscles, Dragonflies to Pupae, it was time to address his subconscious affiliation with the Sacred Scarab.

Scarabs hold great meaning and significance, opening one up to an entirely different atmosphere, to the elements and mysteries of the cosmos. With all its ancient symbolism and unchanging beauty, it has truly proved something scared – 'the eternal renewal of life'.
