Caratoes is born and raised in Belgium. Currently living in Hong Kong.
Has an educational background of biochemistry followed by game design.
Worked in Amsterdam for a postproduction house and later in Wieden and Kennedy add agency.
In 2013 she moved to Hong Kong, to reflect on what she wants to do in life. In an unknown city, not knowing anyone or anything, things led her to do art full time.
She has showcased her work in Amsterdam, Belgium, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Most recent finished painting the new Facebook office in Hong Kong and a commissioned piece in Art restaurant Bibo.
In her Streetart, she would envision her character living and interacting with the environment they are painted in.
In her more contemporary pieces she would share a story of one of her obsessions and passions. Showing the beautiful and ugly parts of it with the viewer.
She aims to create environments that breathes a certain atmosphere or feeling that can spark a story to the viewer.
