ANDREW MACPHERSON
Andrew Macpherson was born in England at the dawn of the sixties. He grew up in the New Forest in England where he discovered photography at school. He had a dynamic and inspired teacher who illuminated a world of possibilities behind the camera. At fifteen he moved to London to start work, which meant making tea, sweeping floors, but this led him to assist some extraordinary and legendary photographers such as Horst and Lord Snowdon. This was his real education, eight years of watching the masters of his chosen craft at work, and helping them realize their vision. At 23 he was discovered by famed fashion muse and talent-spotter Amanda Harlech, who joined forces with Andrew and he shot his first fashion story with her for Harpers & Queen in London. The fruitful partnership started him on a ten year trajectory as a fashion photographer shooting for The Face, Rolling Stone, and UK and Italian Vogue, and led to advertising campaigns for Diesel Jeans, Dunhill, Ray-Ban, and H&M. British Vogue hired Andrew to shoot U2's ZooTV Tour in 1992-93 through Europe and America.

It was during this time that Andrew first discovered and fell in love with California. He began to focus his energy on the entertainment industry, and after a long courtship finally moved to the west coast in 1996, where he lives now.
